Ideally located in the heart of the Oisans plain, Le Martinet campsite is an ideal base camp to discover the region, enjoy a wide range of activities or simply recharge your batteries, whether as a family, solo or with friends, in a sporting or leisurely way.

On foot, there are a number of itineraries accessible from the campsite or on the shuttle buses that run around the Oisans region for maximum oxygenation.

A discovery walk to the many hamlets in the Eau d'Olle valley and along the Romanche river; a perfect way to start a holiday or a day out.

Hike to the hills to discover the lakes and peaks of the Belledonne, Grandes Rousses and Oisans massifs.
The must: Lake Belledonne, Pas de la Coche, the 7 Laux lakes, Plateau de l'Alpette...

Mountain trails ; Situated at the foot of the Villard-Reculas trail station, Le Martinet campsite is ideal for both free and accompanied trail running.

Climbing, Via ferrata and tree climbing : Several possibilities from Allemond ; Tree climbing for an introduction to heights, from 5 years ols: Parc Aventure Oisans in Bourg d'Oisans and Les Givrés Warriors obstacle course in Oz.

Via ferrata for more thrills : Under La Fare waterfall in Vaujany, Pierre Ronde in L'Alpe d'Huez and also in Venosc, Saint-Christophe, Mizoën and La Grave.

Alpine ski

 

Direct access to the resorts of Oz-Vaujany and Grand domaine Alpe d'Huez for 250 km of slopes, with over 2000 metres of vertical drop.

Nordic skiing

 

The Poutran loop (10km) and the Lakes loop (20km), in the OZ-VAUJANY sector of the Alpe d'Huez ski domain.
When there's enough snow, the Allemond plain is groomed and transformed into Nordic slopes.

Cross-country ski and snowshoeing

 

From Allemond and Vaujany, there are a number of discovery and sporting itineraries (Col du Sabot, les Aiguillettes, Pic Lamartine, etc.); and from the Grand domaine Alpe d'Huez, there are marked paths for snowshoeing and ski touring.

Land of hydro-electricity

 

Oisans and Eau d'Olle are at the heart of the “houille blanche” adventure.
Aristide Bergès may have invented it on the other side of the Belledonne, but hydroelectricity has found its home in the Uiss valleys.
Le Martinet campsite is on the doorstep of France's largest and most powerful hydroelectric complex: Grand Maison.

Discover the panoramic views over the various lakes and dams : Le Verney, Grand Maison, Le Chambon ;
And also the historic Les Vernes power station, the Maison Romanche-Énergie interpretation centre and the Romanche museum.

Just a stone's throw from the campsite, 3 farms offer you the chance to discover their products, often with tastings and sometimes tours.

Ferme de Châtillon Le Raffour in Bourg d'Oisans (5 mins by bike); goat's and cow's cheeses.
Ferme des bisons de l'Oisans - Rochetaillé in Bourg d'Oisans; visit the farm, see the ewes and bison, and also a dance hall in summer.
Ferme des Edelweiss - Le Rivier d'Allemond in Allemond (10 mins by car), goat's and cow's cheeses, also at the market on Sundays.

A network of 11 museums covers the Oisans to discover the region's treasures of history, flora and fauna, history and industry.

The Écrins National Park - Bourg d'Oisans (accessible by Oisans shuttle bus, the “green road” or by car).

Espace Vaujany Museum (10 mins by car), where you can discover the local fauna, flora and local history.
